Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Expands Staff

The next time you call in to the Controlled F.O.R.C.E. home office, you will probably be greeted by Barb, Gena, Christa, Kari, Melanie or Shevon. These are our new staff hired to keep up with our expanding marketing and support operations.

While our roster of Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Certified Instructors has grown significantly over the years, our support team has remained relatively unchanged. In order to meet the demands of continued growth and to ensure the best possible service to our clients and potential clients, we decided it was time to bring-in new people. This is our first extensive hiring in six years.

First-ever U.S.N.S.T.A. "Mini-Conference"

Controlled F.O.R.C.E. recently participated in U.S.N.S.T.A. Force Response - Detroit '07, the first-ever "mini-conference" run by the United States National Standards of Training Association on April 18-20 for the Detroit Metropolitan Police Department.

The U.S.N.S.T.A., United States National Standards of Training Association, organized the training seminar based on the specific requests made by Sergeant Kristy Cross, training coordinator for the Detroit Metro Police Department. Sergeant Cross regularly attends the U.S.N.S.T.A.’s annual training conference, which brings law enforcement instructors from across the country together to share ideas on training. Based on her experiences at the conference, Sergeant Cross determined that several training programs offered by the U.S.N.S.T.A. would benefit the officers that she is responsible for preparing for duty on the street.

Sgt. Kristy Cross selected Controlled F.O.R.C.E., Rapid Assault Tactics (R.A.T.), and APG Tactical Firearms Training for this custom training package for Detroit Metro Police Department. The training was conducted by U.S.N.S.T.A. Instructors Tony Grano and Don Roberts (Controlled F.O.R.C.E.); Jeff Clancy (R.A.T.); Heath Jackson and Jim Roncal (Adrenalin Proving Grounds LLC).

Detroit Metro Police Department is currently scheduling a Training Female Officers seminar through the U.S.N.S.T.A. to be held in September. Anyone interested in attending this seminar or hosting their own U.S.N.S.T.A. specialized training seminar should call Diana Grano, Joint Training Coordinator, Controlled F.O.R.C.E. / U.S.N.S.T.A. at 630-365-1700 or diana@controlledforce.com.
