>> Controlled F.O.R.C.E. and the U.S.N.S.T.A. Controlled F.O.R.C.E. and the U.S.N.S.T.A. The United States National Standards of Training Association (U.S.N.S.T.A.) identifies training needs and problems faced by our nation's law enforcement, military, and security professionals and develops necessary and actionable solutions. Through years of scenario-based research, the U.S.N.S.T.A. has determined that the underlying problem faced by personnel is the rapid collapse of training retention in high stress field incidents which inevitably leads to unecessary injuries and unfortunate lawsuits. Acting on its findings, the U.S.N.S.T.A. established Controlled F.O.R.C.E. as its Cornerstone System from which all other training developments are based. Controlled F.O.R.C.E. was selected because of its attention to simple principles of body movement, gross motor skills, and emphasis on transitions between holds, which all lead to increased retention rates in field use. In addition, Controlled F.O.R.C.E.'s "open-ended building block" system design makes it quick and easy to build other types of training (such as OC Spray, Weapons Deployment, etc...) into a cohesive program. The annual conference is the testing ground for the U.S.N.S.T.A.'s training model by providing participants with a foundation in body control techniques with Controlled F.O.R.C.E. and then building from there to ensure that all training has a common base. This training model is based on the belief that the user must be able to control himself/herself before being able to engage and control someone else. Anti-Terrorism / Force Protection Training Development Controlled F.O.R.C.E., in conjuction with Adrenalin Proving Grounds (APG), is developing Anti-Terrorism / Force Protection training packages for U.S. Armed Services. This training will be based on Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Levels 1 - 5 and will be available with customized options and in various time frames. All training packages will include unit specific customization to meet the unique needs of any combat unit (based on team sizes and operational requirements) throughout all branches of the Armed Services. Training will cover the operational demands of Un-Armed and Armed combat with Non-Lethal to Lethal force multiplyers, including Force-on-Force Cover and Conceal / Fire and Maneuver. Controlled F.O.R.C.E. will be testing portions of this training at the 7th Annual U.S.N.S.T.A. Training Conference with the various military and tactical personnel in attendance, and we plan to hold a full-scale dry run early next year. For more
