Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) approves F.O.R.C.E. Active Shooter Course for 40 Instruction Hours of In-Service Training.
The F.O.R.C.E. Active Shooter Course (First Official Response in a Critical Environment) joins the ranks of Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Departmental Instructor Certification courses that are MCOLES Approved for 302 Funding. These courses include: Level 1, Mechanical Advantage Subject Control; Level 2, Survival Force Reactionary Defense; and Level 3, Combative Counter Measures.
Public Act 302 provides for the distribution of reimbursement funds to law enforcement agencies in Michigan upon completion of approved training registered through MCOLES. Controlled F.O.R.C.E. has been offering MCOLES approved training to law enforcement officers in Michigan since 2003, and we look forward to helping officers earn 40 Instruction Hours of In-Service Training for completing the F.O.R.C.E. Active Shooter Course.
The F.O.R.C.E. Active Shooter Course was designed to develop the first responder / front-line officer’s understanding of key elements of tactical response in order to survive and effectively control a critical environment as it spontaneously occurs. Controlled F.O.R.C.E. recently conducted the F.O.R.C.E. Active Shooter Course for law enforcement officers at Detroit Police Training Center. The training was designed to help Detroit Police Officers sharpen themselves both mentally and tactically for the high-threat environments in which they operate every day.
