Letter to Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Certified Departmental Instructors
 

Thank you for choosing Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Tactical Training Systems to assist you in fulfilling your agency’s subject control training needs. As a certified Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Departmental Instructor, you are authorized to teach the system within your department. Please review the following information for further details on your departmental instructor certification:

1.       You are authorized to teach Controlled F.O.R.C.E. to the sworn officers within your department only.

2.       You are authorized to certify your department’s officers as Users of the Controlled F.O.R.C.E. System.

3.       User Certifications must be processed through Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Inc.

4.       Any issuance of certification other than those processed by Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Inc. will not be recognized by Controlled F.O.R.C.E.

5.       No instructor or training course can include Controlled F.O.R.C.E. or Mechanical Advantage Control Holds on their own certificates without expressed written permission from Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Inc.

6.       The teaching of Controlled F.O.R.C.E. proprietary training to officers outside of your department is prohibited unless you are given expressed permission from Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Inc.

7.       The teaching of any Controlled F.O.R.C.E. proprietary training for monetary gain is strictly prohibited unless you are given expressed written permission from Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Inc.

8.       Any re-sellers of Controlled F.O.R.C.E. proprietary training will be prosecuted to the full extend of the law.

9.       Your authorization to teach Controlled F.O.R.C.E. expires two years after the completion of the most recent instructor certification class attended. At the end of this two year term, re-certification training is required in order to continue teaching Controlled F.O.R.C.E. proprietary training.

10.   Within the two year certification term, you may attend any open Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Instructor Certification class as a refresher at no charge. Free refresher training does not extend the two year certification term, but can be used to further develop your instructor skills and may be eligible for credit toward earning Master Instructor Certification.

These conditions are in no way meant to limit or hinder your use of Controlled F.O.R.C.E. within your department. On the contrary, these conditions have been put in place to maintain the integrity of the system to ensure that everyone being trained in Controlled F.O.R.C.E. receives the same quality, nationally recognized standard of training as established by the United States National Standards of Training Association (U.S.N.S.T.A.). Finally, if you transfer to a new agency within the two year certification term, please contact Controlled F.O.R.C.E. so we can keep our records as accurate as possible. Controlled F.O.R.C.E. assigns certification numbers to the individual and not the agency, so if you do change departments your certification can be transferred with you, which means that you will be eligible for re-certification rates on any future training.
